Priara della “Perletta”

A path suitable for everyone, a 30-minute round trip. It is recommended to start the route from Forcella delle Punte, the saddle that divides Monte Venda from Monte Baiamonte (428m). To reach Forcella, take the Strada Militare del Venda (Loc. Castelnuovo di Teolo). The path is a peaceful 15-minute walk where you will find an intersection of the Alta Via, Trail No. 2 of the Central Euganei, and the path leading to the “Priara.” Once you take the left path, a climb will lead you to admire a fantastic panorama.

Percorso colle san Daniele

Sentiero Colle di S. Daniele

Pedestrian paths leading to the summit of the hill where the Monastery of San Daniele stands, built between 1076 and 1078 by the lords of Montagnose (of Lombard origin) for the Benedictine monks. Along the path, you will discover a richness of flora with a multitude of colors. Centuries-old trees, characteristic tree and shrub species of Euganean vegetation, enhance the scenic beauty.

Sentiero n. 16 del Monterosso

The trail begins from the hamlet of Monterosso, following the road along the wall of Villa Bembiana. Upon reaching via Circuito Monterosso, after about 150 meters, continuing along the track, you’ll notice the wall of a disused quarry marking the eastern slope of the mountain. At a small clearing where a chestnut fence has been installed for protection, the trail quickly ascends along a rock-cut watercourse.

At the end of the ascent, you reach a junction: to the right, the trail continues towards the edge of the quarry where a cave opens (not accessible to the public); from here, with a small detour, you can reach a panoramic point overlooking the ancient reclamation network. Back at the junction, the main trail continues along an old forest track that climbs to the ridge through a very aged chestnut forest.

Arriving at the summit, a clearing opens up, offering a panoramic view of the “gulf” of Praglia, bordered by the Monti delle Are, Lonzina, and Boscalbò, dominated by the Abbey, founded between the late 11th and early 12th centuries by a Benedictine community.
